LOCATION STATUS

First let's understand the difference between the two different types of Location Status:

Active = This means that this is a Location you would like to appear in the Location drop down menus located throughout the PerformerTrack application.  Active Locations would be places you may visit on a frequent basis (i.e. - a prominent Casting Directors Office, your Agent's Office,

Inactive = This means that you no longer want this Location available in the Location Drop-Down Menus.  Inactive Locations would be places  you auditioned at once and do not think this Location will ever be used again for a casting call.

When an Location is added to the Locations List it is automatically entered into the system under Active Status. You can change the Location Status within the Headshot Details pop-up window at any point.

Simply toggle whether the Location is Active or Inactive, then click the 'Update' button.

To view Inactive Locations within the Locations List Overview Screen utilize the Status Filter

MAP IT!

Within the Location Details pop-up window there is a Map It! link.

MAP IT! BUTTON

To pull-up Driving Directions from Microsoft's® Virtual Earthclick on the Map It! Button.

When the Map It! link is activated you may encounter the following alert if you are using Internet Explorer:

This Security Information pop-up window is letting you know that the Microsoft's® Virtual EarthDriving Directions are housed on unsecured servers - BUT THAT'S OKAY - all the work you continue to do on PerformerTrack is STILL on  our PRIVATE, SAFE and SECURE SERVERS!!!

The Map It! Button launches two Microsoft's® Virtual EarthDriving Directions pop-up windows:

1) The first pop-up window displays an Overview Map where you are given various viewing options

2) The other pop-up window displays actual Step-By-Step Driving Directions that are ready for printing!

The Starting Point for the Driving Directions is your specified Default Address (see Top Toolbar > My Account > Preference > Mapping).

If you do NOT see the Driving Directions pop-up window check to see if the Web browser displaying the Overview Map has an Information Bar along the top asking you if it is okay to display another pop-up window. Make sure you click the Information Bar and "Allow" all pop-up windows to appear.

ROUND TRIP (MI/KM): Here's a fast way of figuring out your Round Trip Mileage!  The Step-By-Step Driving Directions displays the Total Distance from your Starting Point to your destination.  Simply double this number to come up with your Round Trip Mileage and note it within the Location's Details - remember, depending on where you live the Mileage you drive could be a tax-deductible Expense (please see Mileage for more information).

Depending on the laws in your city, state/province and/or country, the Mileage you drive for business-related reasons may be eligible for a tax deduction.  Consult a Certified Public Accountant or Federal Tax Guide to find out what you may be eligible for.
