Some Booked Projects require you, the Performer, to Invoice the client in order to get paid for your performing services.
(If you are a Voice Over Artist you are probably nodding your head up and down right about now...)
Before PerformerTrack, it was rather easy to loose track of what Invoices wereOutstanding and which ones were Paid...who owed you what, when...and so on! But now, you have all of this information at your finger tips! Let's take a look at what makes up the Invoicing section:
To enter the 'Invoiced Client On' Date click on the Calendar Button next to the field box to launch the pop-up Calendar Picker.
•
The 'Invoiced Client On'Date is NOT tied to the Calendar Section because it is NOT a scheduled appointment that needs to be in you Calendar. The 'Invoiced Client On'Dateis merely a good reference for you to call back upon when needed.
SYMBOLS & CHARACTERS: If the Invoice Number contains any special symbols and/or characters (such as "-", "#" , "@", etc.) PerformerTrack will automatically remove them to avoid any programming glitches or issues.
MONETARY SYMBOLS:No monetary symbols are needed (such as "$", "£" , "¥", "€", etc.). If you do enter any monetarysymbols PerformerTrack will automatically remove them to avoid any programming glitches or issues.
Select the Invoice Contact (the individual or company) who you are invoicing from the drop down menu. The Invoice Contact drop down menu displays all of the Contacts in your Contacts Section.
•
The Contacts that appear in the Invoice Contact drop down menu are bridged over from your Contacts Section.
•
JOURNALING: Every Invoice you enter is Journaled in the InvoiceContact'sHistory! The Journaling feature is simply amazing! It allows you to see over time how you have interacted with Contacts and how they have been an influence on your career!
ADD BUTTON
To add a new Invoice Contact simply click the Add Button. This will launch the Add Contact pop-up window.
•
If the Invoice Contact you add is just a Company (meaning you don't specify a First Name or Last Name - you only enter a Company Name) after you click the 'Save New Contact' Button you will only see a comma (,) appear in the Invoice Contact field box.
Don't worry!
PerformerTrack has the Company you entered there...you just can't see it - yet!
After you click the 'Add New Invoice Record' Button you will notice your entry appear below the 'Sort By' Columns.
Click on the Edit Invoice Icon to launch the Invoice Record Details pop-up window.
Notice that the Company Name is correctly displayed in the Invoice Contact field box.
INFO BUTTON
To view details about a Contact selected from the Invoice Contact drop down menu click the Info Button. This will launch the Contact Details pop-up window.
•
Learn more about everything the Contacts Section is capable of and lots of tips and hints by reading the 'Contacts' chapter in this User Manual.
As you continually add more and more Invoices to a Booked Project you will want an easy way to sort through them. That's where the 'Sort By' Columns are extremely helpful!
Here you can sort your Invoices quickly by Invoiced Client On, Amount, Payment Due By, Billing Status and Date Paid.
